So yeah, it’s the new hotness. I’ll be picking it up today. If you don’t have it, maybe you should pick it up too.
Oh yeah, here’s a link to the 1.1 patch (318 MB):

Sorry guys… I was pretty disappointed with this one too by the demo, but if I find it on sale I might pick it up somewhere… CompUSA keeps blowing things out here… like that 4gb of memory I got for $34…… This just struck me as a reskinned COD:MC with crappier weapons and perks….. still the same old running around in a circle on small maps….
*sigh*
Won’t anyone ever bring us a new version of BF with squads, vehicles and big assed maps but with the detail of COD???

As far as a deal for COD:WaW, I got mine for $40 by taking a Circuit City ad to BestBuy and having them pricematch the $10 gift card offered (they just took $10 off the $50 price instead).
What’s new about COD:WaW is the much bigger maps, tanks, and some new modes (Capture the flag, and WAR mode where you have to cap bases sequentially). Also, eventually some good mods should come out. 4 player co-op through the campaign should be really cool, and Zombie mode kicks ass. Right now, even though there are new guns, new maps, and some new perks, it still feels a lot like COD4 (as naturally it would).
As far as a BF2 killer, it seems obvious that Dice would make a BF3 - everyone and their mamma would buy it and play the hell out of it. But, they’ve repeatedly said they aren’t going to make it. Frankly, EA should pop their head out of their ass and just hire some developer to make it anyway.
