Clueless

As was expected, this was delayed from a previous release date of MARCH 11, 2008. (WTF??? o.O)

It’s a 1.8GB file, which I am downloading it to see how bad it probably is, and how little had changed from the open beta we played for 6 weeks without a viable update/build… but for those interested:

At this point, I just have to laugh…

Today, both Kaos Studios and THQ have agreed to postpone the multiplayer PC Demo. Studio development efforts are being applied to feature fixes and enhancements to support the existing community. Kaos Studios recognizes the overwhelming support the community has given since release and is doing everything they can to deliver the best gaming experience possible.

In case anyone is remotely interested: FFOW for $32.00 new… [limited time]

I, personally, will be wiaitng for the demo on the 12th before making a decision to purchase it, but GoGamer.com has FFOW on sale already, but its for a limited time:

I can only hope this is a normal thing for GoGamer, and not “sell as many of these as possible because it’s a piece of garbage and won’t sell otherwise” tactic. I mean hardly 10 days after release and they are already selling on blowout???

Kaos and other Frontlines based sites seem to be filtering any/all negative feedback being posted in ANY of the forums on frontlineswar.com and Kaos. I can understand the flame threads, but even simple ‘negative feedback’ threads. I made a few reply postings just voicing my hesitation in buying the game until I see the demo to prove that much of the stuff the community voiced through the Beta was in fact fixed, and they are filtering it. I didn’t flame or anything. I was simply stating facts. I just made a reply post 10 minutes ago to frontlineswar.com, and they have removed the entire thread altogether now.

Really sad to see this kind of crap happening with such a potentially awesome game title. I will still see what the demo is like, but I doubt very seriously I will be purchasing a title from a company who has gone Gestapo with their censorship. They used to be very open to the community, but to now start filtering non-flame opinions/feedback people have in order to avoid a negative image to new players is really sad.

Once again, we PC’ers are being made to suffer at the hands of the console. I now wish they had just made the damned game solely for console and saved us the trouble.

Hahahahhaa… I got interviewed about Frontlines and they actually quoted me…

I thought it was a scam when they sent me a contact through FrontlinesWar.com’s forums, but I guess it was a real person at ABC:

Article [ HERE ]

Maroney, 36, a Jacksonville, Fla. man who has played preview versions of the game, said that he doubted those details would stir any political sentiment among gamers.

“When the fight’s on, obviously everything else loses focus and you focus on keeping yourself alive,” he said.

Maroney said that the game has raised his awareness of oil issues. Still, he said, games are generally an “escape” for players.
